Where Technology, Creativity and Altered States Converge

Dear Cyberdelic Society,

This year has been an incredible whirlwind of activity for the Cyberdelic movement, with showcases, events, and community growth happening at an unprecedented pace.

While this exponential growth has occasionally challenged our capacity to maintain regular communications, it has also validated the rising interest and importance of the cyberdelic paradigm.

Today, I'm excited to share with you an overview of some remarkable milestones we've achieved in the past 5 months.

Make sure to read till the end to find out our upcoming events and releases.

ETHDenver: Our First Crypto Community Showcase

Our debut at ETHDenver marked a significant milestone as our first major presence at a cryptocurrency and blockchain event.

What struck us most was the immediate resonance between the crypto community's values and the cyberdelic vision.

The overlap between digital innovation, decentralized thinking, and consciousness expansion created an electric atmosphere of possibility.

The ETHDenver community's inherent understanding of paradigm shifts and transformative technologies made them natural allies in our mission.

For this showcase we featured the following work:

For the first time, we showcased a variety of cyberdelic experiences both inside and outside the dome, marking an exciting evolution in our presentation format.

Participants reported feeling completely enveloped in the experience, describing it as "stepping into another dimension."

We are incredibly grateful to the ETHDO.ME crew for hosting us and especially to Scott Bein for the invitation.

Special thanks to Felix, Lea, and Alon whose contributions for making this showcase a reality.

Esoteric Festival 2025: When Resilience Triumphs

After months of preparation to create a cyberdelic activation at Esoteric Festival in Australia, one day before opening its doors the festival was forced to cancel.

This was a big disappointment, as our team had prepared an engaging cyberdelic showcase.

Despite the sudden cancellation just one day before the event, something remarkable emerged from this setback.

Michael Flood, in a powerful display of artistic commitment, chose to complete the stage design regardless of the circumstances.

This act wasn't just about the physical structure, it was a statement about the unstoppable nature of creative expression and the dedication that defines our community.

I want to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible Australian crew (Michael, Melissa, and Oliver), who invested their hearts into this project.

We encourage you to explore Michael's exceptional work on Instagram (@createwondr).

Cyberdelic Society Mexico City: A New Chapter Begins

In March this year, we launched the Cyberdelic Society Mexico City, which marked a pivotal moment in our global expansion.

The inaugural event at Rewire Labs brought together an incredible mix of technologists, artists, and consciousness explorers from Mexico and other parts of the world.

The response from the Mexico City community was extraordinary, with local artists and technologists immediately grasping the potential of combining immersive technology with consciousness exploration.

The event featured visionary talks from:

  • Jose Montemayor Alba - Introduction to the Cyberdelic Paradigm
  • Oscar Velazquez - Rewire Lab
  • Oneiros Speculum - Electronic Spirituality and Emergences of the Sacred Wild
  • Eduardo Castañeda - The Human Failure: From Gods to Techno-Apes
  • Ibrah Gabriell - Magical Glitches
  • Brun Balanced - Activating Networks for Psychedelic Activism

Followed by a group voice activation of 5 min presentations including:

  • Stephanie Tess Manrique - Introduction to scopaesthesia and the use of the “EyeSense” app
  • Mar Alcaraz Sanchez & Lucia Alcaraz Sanchez - VibraniOm
  • Pach Algara - Reset Your Light
  • Paola Zavala - AI and Mixed Reality as portals to new forms of self-knowledge and transcendental experiences
  • Nova Electra - Presentation of the book “Homo Sapiens Editus”
  • Berenice Rodríguez - Analysis of drawing as a tool
  • Adres Silva - From visual harmony to forbidden symmetries

The showcase included VR, MR, and AR experiences, the Pandora Star flickering light, psychedelic art projections, a book presentation, a table of mind-expanding books, and a delicious nootropic elixir bar by Humanas that kept our minds fully engaged.

The gathering culminated with a collective synapse integration ritual and an immersive sensory journey simulating a peak psychedelic experience by Karina Malpica from Mindsurf.

The local community’s deep understanding of transformative practices, combined with their technological expertise, has already begun to influence and expand our global perspective.

We’re especially grateful to our local partners who helped us create this event, The Psychedelic Society Mexico, Mindsurf, Humanas, Nido and the team at Rewire Labs.

Breaking Convention 2025: An Inspiring Community Gathering

This past April marked our fourth time attending Breaking Convention, and we were deeply moved by the warmth of the community and the joy of reconnecting with old friends.

We brought an extraordinary lineup of immersive experiences that bridged the gap between technology, art and consciousness exploration.

Our carefully curated showcase featured 16 cyberdelic experiences across different mediums, VR, MR, Biofeedback and Interactive mapping.

Each experience was selected for its unique approach to consciousness exploration and its potential to modulate states.

This year we had an upgrade with a dual-space setup. A welcoming front area for curious explorers to get their first taste of cyberdelics, and an 8x8 meter room dedicated for those seeking more.

This format proved highly effective, allowing participants to engage with the cyberdelic spectrum of experiences at their own comfort level, from light exploration to profound journeys.

Both spaces featured comfortable seating, carefully crafted ambient lighting, and facilitators to guide participants through their experiences.

Special thanks to the Breaking Convention team, specially Andy Miller for their support and enthusiasm for having us again.

Cyberdelic Showcase Berlin #2 : Expanding Our Local Network

Early in May, we runed a second Cyberdelic Showcase in Berlin at Molecule’s offices, establishing our permanent presence in Berlin’s vibrant tech, art and consciousness exploration scene.

The showcase featured an engaging mix of:

  • Immersive hands-on cyberdelic experiences
  • A popular nootropic elixir bar that enhanced the evening’s experiences
  • Mesmerizing digital art installations by Micha @jagualart
  • Rapid-fire presentations from local innovators and researchers that captivated our audience, including:

-Mars Vertigo - Cyberdelic Society Berlin Plans

-Jose Montemayor Alba - Introduction To The Cyberdelic Paradigm

-Paula Ducatenzeiler - BoDJing: Sound Frequency body Massage

-Bradley C Royes - MELD: touch points for an ecosystem of underground hubs

-Mariana Pinzon (aka mavis) - MythOS: A liberation Game

-Alexx Kaos : Hypothalamus and Hallucinations

-Michael Thomas : Visual Portals to the Self: Art, Code & Altered States

-José Fernando Andrade - Collective Brain Synchronizations

-Arvy - ⦿-⦿ : Collective Muscle Memory, Embodied Cognition, Psy/Cyberdelic integration.

Intangible Realities Lab Mini-Showcase: A New Academic Partnership

We partnered with the Intangible Realities Lab (IRL) at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

José delivered a presentation that combined academic research findings with a hands-on showcase demonstrating cyberdelic innovations.

A highlight of this trip was helping in the facilitation of a scientific study led by Catherine Andrew using Anuma's Clear Light Essence, a numadelic experience developed by Dr. David Glowacky and the Numadelic Labs team to aid terminally ill patients in preparing for death and dying.

Earlier versions of this experience have been scientifically studied, showing correlations with psychedelic experiences particularly in areas of group connectedness, ego attenuation, and experiences of oneness.

Now it's been further studied to implement this in various areas including hospitals, palliative care, hospices, and more.

This collaboration with Intangible Realities Labs and Numadelic Labs has opened exciting possibilities for future research in the cyberdelic & numadelic fields.

Read more about their research here.

In case you haven't heard the word "numadelic" before, here is a picture that explains various definitions and approaches to cyberdelics:

While these terms may seem distinct at first glance, they all converge on a similar vision: the use of technology to explore and expand consciousness. Here’s how they relate:

  • Cyberdelics: The broadest term, encompassing any cybernetic, electronic, or digital tools designed to learn how to navigate and explore altered states of consciousness, highly inspired by psychedelic experiences and other endogenous altered states like breathwork, flow, oneness, trance, etc.
  • Numadelics: Derived from “pneuma” (meaning breath, spirit, or soul), this approach focuses on exploring consciousness and the soul through technology. It emphasizes creating transformative experiences that connect with our spiritual essence through digital means.
  • Technodelics: Highlights the technological and systematic approach to altered states, particularly through electronic and digital means. It works by manipulating sensorimotor input through synchronized multi-sensory experiences, aiming to create neuroplastic changes similar to traditional psychedelics but through technological means.
  • Moistmedia: A more artistic and biological perspective, referring to the integration of digital technology with biological systems and consciousness. It emphasizes the “wet” interface between technology and human consciousness.

All these approaches share the common goal of using technology to enhance human consciousness and create meaningful experiences, just approaching it from slightly different philosophical and practical angles.
